When your job runs through Trados, Phrase, or another CAT tool, you pay the full rate only for new content. Repetitions and fuzzy matches are billed on the standard match-level scale.
Both. Roughly half my volume comes from agencies, half from end clients.
German market standard is the 55-character line including spaces, counted on the target text (English, in most cases). After translation you see the exact line count in the analysis—no surprises on the invoice. Word counts on request if your accounting prefers them.

Where it earns its keep, yes—DeepL Pro on contract-tier with no-storage terms, never the free web tools. If a project is sold as MTPE, you pay 60 % of the line rate. If it’s sold as a from-scratch translation, you get a from-scratch translation. I don’t blur the line.
There’s a €20 minimum, roughly 24 standard lines. Below that, the admin overhead exceeds the line price; above it, normal rates apply.

Trados packages, bilingual XLIFF, Across projects, IDML, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF (with the source file if you have it). Anything more exotic—send it over and I’ll confirm before quoting.
No. In Germany, certified translations can only be issued by court-sworn translators (beeidigte/ermächtigte Übersetzer), and I deliberately don’t hold that certification. For certificates, transcripts, or court documents, I can recommend colleagues who do.
