This policy explains what personal data I process when you visit this website, get in touch, or order a translation.

## Visiting the website

When you visit the website, I process your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referrer and your browser identifier to run the site securely, compile visitor statistics and adapt content such as the greeting and the currency to your approximate location (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I delete the server logs within 14 days.

## Contact form

When you write to me, I process what you enter to answer your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), plus your IP address and the time to prevent abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The fields marked as required are the ones I need to answer your inquiry or fulfill the order; everything else is optional. An AI service drafts the automatic acknowledgment from your name, subject and message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I delete inquiries within twelve months unless a legal retention duty applies.

## Translation orders

I process the documents you send me for translation to fulfill the order (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). I delete the documents once they are no longer needed for the order or possible warranty claims, and I keep invoices for up to ten years to meet legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

## Scheduling

The TidyCal (USA) booking calendar loads only after you click “Load Calendar.” TidyCal then processes your IP address and whatever you enter there (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

## Storage in your browser

I store in your browser only what the site’s features technically need (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).

Transfers to the US rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) or on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR); I’ll send you a copy on request. I delete encrypted backups within three years.

## Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Arts. 15–18 and 20 GDPR); an email to alexander@jetzt-uebersetzt.de is enough. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

## Right to object

You can object to processing based on my legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR); an email is enough for that too.
